About Kit Core
Born in Clarksville, Ar. in 1948, but grew up in Fort Smith. Graduated in 1966 from Northside High and in 1968 from Westark Junior College. Joined the U.S. Navy that same year and served 4 years during the Vietnam War. After
coming home I decided it would be a good idea to open a Bar, having spent a good deal of time in them, Core’s Grain & Feed Company was born on the corner of 5th & Garrison in Fort Smith. It was an amazing 2 years.
During that time I married the Love of my life, Karen, a Kansas Sunflower, that I fell head over heels for the first time I saw her. It took her a little longer. We have been married just over 41 years now. Have 2 beautiful Daughters,
5 Fabulous Grandkids, and 2 pretty good Son-in-Laws. LIFE IS GOOD!!! After leaving the Bar I went to work for the Ark. State Hwy. Dept. I spent 36 years with them and retired in late 2010.

My really “good” friends call me the GOB (grumpy old Bast**d)
I am not grumpy, just RIGHT, and its hard for them to accept that.
I shave my head because I have little to no hair left, cursed from both sides, but I love the freedom it provides,

I believe in working hard, doing the best you can at whatever you are doing, and do it right the first time
I have little to NO patience for HUAD’s (head up ass drivers)
